
Drew hunt • director of production
Drew Hunt is Director of Production for Tate Global Media and Tate Law Group. A Savannah native and an award-winning Director, Videographer/Photographer, Certified Drone Videographer, and Editor, Drew has worked creatively behind the camera for almost 20 years.
Drew became intrigued with photography and videography at an early age. Having a camera on his shoulder since he was a teenager, it is no surprise he would successfully go on to work in the television and film industry. Spending countless hours behind the camera working at the ABC affiliate, WSOC in Charlotte, NC, the ABC affiliate WJCL in Savannah and the NBC affiliate, WSAV in Savannah, Ga., Drew enhanced his camera and editing skills earning him credibility and recognition as a sought-after photojournalist. He has covered hurricanes, Presidents, Celebrities, Festivals and some of the biggest news events on a local, state and national level winning several awards over the years including Edward R Murrow Awards: Best Documentary for Hurricane Mathew: Inside the Storm and also Celebrating Black History, Best Feature News Reporting for a segment on the Leesburg Stockade Girls, The Georgia Associated Press Award: Excellence in Photojournalism for his videography on 9/11 Marine Recruits and African American Cemeteries, and Best Feature Reporting for the Leesburg Stockade Girls.
Having a passion for filmmaking, Drew established his own Film company, Mojave 4 Films that has produced several short films and documentaries. An active participant in Savannah’s local film scene, Drew received the Best Cinematography Award in 2019 and was named Best Director in 2017, 2018, and 2019 in the 48 Hour Film Project in Savannah. His short film, The Dame, The Diplomat, and The Detective received notoriety and won awards in the Southeast Regional Film Festival, The Vegas Movie Awards, the Spotlight Short Film Awards, as well as, being selected in several others.
As the primary Multi-media photographer for the weekday Lifestyle/Entertainment shows on WSAV, The Southern Scene and The Bridge, Drew has provided promotional video, audio and digital content and Red Carpet coverage for numerous clients and events highlighting their businesses and services in a creative and imaginative way that have proven results of increased revenues and market brand awareness.
Drew pushes himself creatively in a versatile way on every project no matter how big or small. What sets him apart from all the rest? Drew does not just shoot general video to fill time. He tells a story visually on every project always asking himself, “if there is no sound, do the visuals fill in the gaps and keep viewers entertained, engaged and wanting more.” And No matter if he is directing a short film with a large crew or producing a 30 second commercial spot or testimonial with a small crew. he makes sure the answer is always yes.
